Job Overview:

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including managing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The Accounting Supervisor will also be responsible for supervising and training accounting staff, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing guidance and support to other members of the accounting team.

 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including managing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

• Supervise and train accounting staff, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting reports for accuracy and completeness

• Prepare and review financial statements and other accounting reports

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

• Provide guidance and support to other members of the accounting team

• Participate in the development of new business opportunities and assist with business development efforts

• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with new requirements

• Assist with special projects and other accounting-related tasks as assigned

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years of supervisory experience

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
