Job Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and cash application. This position will work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of revenue and receivables, and will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and cash application
• Monitor ageing reports and collections activity to ensure timely and effective collection of accounts receivable
• Communicate with customers regarding payment status and resolve billing disputes
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of revenue and receivables in the general ledger and other accounting systems
• Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging reports and other financial analysis as needed
• Manage the accounts receivable team, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist with special projects and other accounting-related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounts receivable management or a related field
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures
• Experience with accounts receivable software, such as Oracle or SAP
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
