Job Summary:

 

We are seeking an Assistant Director to work closely with the Director and other senior staff members to provide strategic leadership and direction to our organization. The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, managing staff, and ensuring that programs and services are delivered effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Work closely with the Director and other senior staff members to provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, including managing staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring that programs and services are delivered effectively and efficiently

• Assist in the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan and goals

• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community members

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

• Prepare and present reports to the Director and Board of Directors

• Monitor program budgets and expenses, and work with staff to develop and implement strategies to manage costs and increase revenue

• Develop and implement staff training and development programs

• Provide guidance and support to staff, and foster a positive and inclusive work environment

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field

• Proven experience in a leadership role

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

• Experience in the non-profit sector preferred
