Job Purpose:


The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading and overseeing the Information Technology (IT) function in the organization, aligning technology investments with business goals and objectives, and providing strategic guidance on technology matters to the CEO and Board of Directors.


Key Responsibilities:


     Develop and execute the IT strategy: Develop a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with business objectives and supports the organization’s growth and expansion plans. This includes managing the IT budget, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

     Manage the IT function: Oversee the IT function, including infrastructure, software applications, and technical support. Manage the performance of the IT team and ensure that they are adequately trained and resourced to support the organization’s technology needs.

     Provide strategic guidance: Provide strategic guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors on the role of technology in achieving business objectives. This includes assessing emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for the organization to leverage technology to improve operations and increase efficiencies.

     Lead digital transformation initiatives: Lead and oversee digital transformation initiatives to streamline business processes, improve customer experience, and drive innovation. This includes identifying and implementing new technologies and digital platforms that enhance the organization’s competitiveness and profitability.

     Ensure cybersecurity: Ensure the security of the organization’s IT infrastructure and data. This includes developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

     Manage vendor relationships: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts, ensuring service level agreements are met, and assessing vendor performance.




     Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

     Proven experience as a CIO or in a similar senior-level IT leadership position.

     Experience developing and executing IT strategies that align with business objectives.

     Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and trends.

     Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation initiatives.

     Experience managing cybersecurity risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

     Excellent communication and leadership skills.

     Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

     Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

     Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an added advantage.

This job may require sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as some bending, lifting, and carrying of equipment or materials.


Working Conditions:


This job may require working outside of regular business hours and may involve some travel.
