Introduction:

 

We are looking for a skilled Clinical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to support our clinical staff and assist with patient care tasks such as measuring vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and providing patient education.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Prepare examination rooms for patients and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.

• Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and enter them into the patient's electronic health record (EHR).

• Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures, such as administering injections and collecting laboratory specimens.

• Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.

• Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols.

• Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications.

• Respond to patient inquiries and concerns and escalate issues to healthcare professionals as necessary.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR system.

• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clinical setting.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

 

Physical Demands:

 

The Clinical Assistant may be required to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry medical equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. The position may also require bending, stooping, and reaching.

 

Work Environment:

 

The Clinical Assistant will primarily work in a clinical setting, such as a physician's office or hospital. The position may require working evening or weekend shifts to accommodate patient needs.
