Title: Concrete Laborer

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete structures, such as foundations, walls, and sidewalks. The Concrete Laborer will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment and tools, as well as ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in concrete work, the ability to read and interpret construction plans, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

●     Assist in the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete structures, such as foundations, walls, and sidewalks

●     Clean and maintain equipment and tools, such as mixers, saws, and trowels

●     Set up and dismantle concrete forms and scaffolding

●     Place and spread concrete using hand and power tools

●     Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels and other tools

●     Apply sealants or other coatings to finished concrete surfaces

●     Assist in the repair and demolition of concrete structures

●     Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment

●     Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradesmen to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

●     Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

●     High school diploma or equivalent

●     Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete work or related field

●     Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

●     Proficient in the use of hand and power tools

●     Good communication and interpersonal skills

●     Ability to work independently or as part of a team

●     Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

●     Strong commitment to safety and quality

 

Physical Demands:

The Concrete Laborer may be required to stand, walk, or kneel for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers to manipulate hand and power tools, and lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. The position may require occasional work on ladders, scaffolds, or roofs.
