Title: Construction Estimator

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing project specifications, reviewing proposals and contracts, and consulting with contractors and suppliers. The Construction Estimator will work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills, a good understanding of construction processes and materials, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

●     Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare cost estimates for construction projects

●     Review proposals and contracts to identify project requirements and scope

●     Consult with contractors and suppliers to obtain quotes for materials, equipment, and services

●     Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, and other expenses

●     Evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers based on cost, quality, and other criteria

●     Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop and refine project budgets and schedules

●     Participate in project meetings and provide updates on cost estimates and budget projections

●     Maintain records of estimates, contracts, and other project documents

●     Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in materials and labor costs

●     Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

●     Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

●     Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or related field

●     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

●     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

●     Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

●     Proficient in the use of cost-estimating software and Microsoft Office applications

●     Familiarity with construction materials and processes

●     Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

●     Strong organizational and time management skills
