Job Overview:

The Cost Analyst will be responsible for analyzing costs and identifying areas for cost savings within the organization. This position will work closely with various departments to develop and maintain cost models, perform variance analysis, and provide insights into cost drivers. The Cost Analyst will also be responsible for preparing financial reports and presentations related to cost analysis.

 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze costs and identify areas for cost savings

• Develop and maintain cost models for various departments and projects

• Perform variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and cost reduction opportunities

• Collaborate with various departments to provide cost analysis insights

• Prepare financial reports and presentations related to cost analysis for management review

• Review and monitor actual costs versus budgeted costs

• Recommend cost-saving initiatives to management

• Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts

• Monitor and analyze trends in key performance indicators related to cost drivers

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to cost analysis

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cost analysis or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Experience with financial modeling and analysis tools

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
