Job Overview:

The Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the credit and collections process for the organization. This position will develop and implement credit policies and procedures, evaluate creditworthiness of customers, and manage the collection of outstanding balances. The Credit Manager will also supervise a team of credit analysts and work closely with sales, customer service, and finance departments to ensure timely and accurate resolution of credit-related issues.



• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards

• Evaluate creditworthiness of customers and establish credit limits

• Monitor credit exposure and identify potential risks

• Oversee the collection of outstanding balances and manage delinquent accounts

• Supervise a team of credit analysts and provide guidance and training as needed

• Communicate with sales, customer service, and finance departments to resolve credit-related issues

• Prepare and analyze credit reports and provide recommendations to management

• Monitor changes in the credit market and recommend adjustments to credit policies and procedures as needed

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to credit and collections



• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master's degree preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections management, preferably in a corporate setting

• Strong knowledge of credit and collections principles and practices, including credit scoring and risk assessment

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Experience with credit reporting agencies and credit management software

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
