Job Title: Data Scientist

 

Introduction:

 

A data scientist is responsible for using advanced analytical and statistical methods to extract insights from large datasets. They work with various tools, technologies and programming languages to identify trends, patterns and relationships within data, and to develop predictive models and other data-driven solutions to support decision making. They are also responsible for designing experiments and conducting research to test hypotheses and validate findings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

●     Collect, organize and analyze large and complex data sets using statistical techniques and programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, SAS etc.

●     Develop predictive models and other machine learning algorithms to identify trends, patterns and relationships within data and to make predictions about future outcomes.

●     Create data visualizations and dashboards to help stakeholders better understand and interpret data insights.

●     Communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, using data visualizations and other tools to facilitate understanding.

●     Collaborate with other data scientists, engineers, developers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to improve business outcomes.

●     Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of data science and share knowledge with the team.

 

Requirements:

 

●     Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science or a related field.

●     Strong programming skills in languages such as R, Python, SQL, SAS etc.

●     Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.

●     Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and statistical models such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, etc.

●     Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.

●     Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

●     Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, etc. is a plus.
