Title: Daycare Teacher

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate daycare teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children under our care. The daycare teacher will plan, implement, and assess age-appropriate activities to support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

 

Responsibilities:

 

     Create and implement lesson plans and activities that support children’s developmental milestones and individual needs.

     Create a positive and welcoming classroom environment that fosters children’s creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem.

     Ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times.

     Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and needs.

     Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, progress, and behaviour.

     Collaborate with other daycare teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and program consistency.

     Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

     Adhere to all state and federal regulations and standards for daycare facilities.

 

Requirements:

 

     Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field.

     Minimum of two years of experience in a licensed daycare setting.

     Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.

     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

     CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

     Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide references.

     Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

     Certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA).

     Experience working with children with special needs.

     Bilingual in English and Spanish.
