Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planning Manager to develop and manage our demand planning processes and tools. The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, developing and implementing inventory and production plans, and monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators.

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Develop and manage the demand planning process, including collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, develop forecasts, and make recommendations for inventory and production planning

- Develop and implement inventory and production plans that align with business goals and objectives and ensure product availability and profitability

- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and fill rates, and make recommendations for improvement

- Identify and communicate potential inventory and supply chain issues, such as stockouts or overstock situations, and develop and execute solutions to mitigate these risks

- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional plans and manage inventory levels during promotional periods

- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, such as suppliers and logistics providers, to ensure that inventory and production plans are executed effectively and efficiently

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in demand planning and inventory management to ensure that our processes and tools remain innovative and effective

- Manage a team of demand planning professionals, including hiring, training, and development

 

Requirements:

 

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field

- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related field, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective demand planning processes and tools

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies and initiatives

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional teams

- Demonstrated ability to manage a team of supply chain professionals, including hiring, training, and development

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work on time and within budget

- Knowledge of demand planning and inventory management software, such as SAP APO, JDA, or Oracle Demantra

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, Tableau, and Google Analytics

- Understanding of supply chain management concepts and principles, including inventory management, transportation, and logistics

- Experience working with global supply chain partners and managing international logistics and customs requirements
