Job Title: Drafter

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team. The Drafter will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans that are used to manufacture products, structures, and machinery. The Drafter will work closely with engineers, architects, and other design professionals to ensure that designs are accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

●     Create technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools and technologies

●     Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other design professionals to ensure that designs are accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards and regulations

●     Review and analyze engineering and design specifications, sketches, and other data to determine the scope and requirements of a project

●     Revise and update technical drawings and plans as needed, based on feedback from design professionals or changes in project requirements

●     Communicate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure that designs can be efficiently and effectively manufactured and assembled

●     Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in drafting and design engineering, and recommend new tools and techniques as needed

●     Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and other collaborative activities to ensure the successful development and implementation of designs

 

Requirements:

 

●     Associate's degree in Drafting or related field (required), Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)

●     Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting, with a focus on technical drawing and design

●     Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor

●     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify solutions to drafting and design challenges

●     Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate design ideas and concepts to design professionals, manufacturing teams, and stakeholders

●     Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and to adapt quickly to changing situations
