Title: Employee Relations Specialist


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Specialist to join our HR team. The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for managing employee relations matters, promoting positive employee relations, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This individual will work closely with HR, legal, and other departments to provide guidance and support on employee relations issues.


Key Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

- Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions to address complaints and allegations of misconduct.

- Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures to promote positive employee relations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure that employee relations practices and policies are aligned with business objectives and legal requirements.

- Deliver training and coaching to managers and employees on employee relations topics and best practices.

- Monitor and analyze employee relations data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop proactive strategies to address issues.

- Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records and documentation.



- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in employee relations or related field.

- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations related to employee relations.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

- Experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare, finance, or government.

- Certification in Employee Relations, such as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional (SCP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

- Experience conducting workplace investigations.
