Job Title: Environmental Engineer

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Engineer to join our team. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and conducting environmental impact assessments, developing and implementing environmental management plans, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering and a commitment to sustainability.

 

Responsibilities:

 

     Conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed projects, including evaluating potential impacts on air, water, and soil quality, and developing mitigation strategies as needed

     Develop and implement environmental management plans to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

     Monitor and report on environmental compliance, including maintaining records and preparing reports for regulatory agencies

     Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans

     Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams regarding environmental issues, including compliance with environmental regulations and best practices

     Conduct research and analysis of environmental data to inform decision-making and identify trends

     Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable solutions to environmental challenges

     Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental regulations and emerging trends and technologies in the field

 

Requirements:

 

     Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (required), Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field (preferred)

     Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on environmental impact assessments and compliance

     Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and best practices

     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify solutions to environmental challenges

     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

     Experience with environmental management systems, such as ISO 14001 or EMAS

     Familiarity with GIS software and other environmental modelling tools

     Passion for sustainability and a commitment to protecting the environment.
