Job Title: Facilities Manager
Introduction:
A Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of a company's buildings and equipment. This includes managing building repairs, coordinating facility-related projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement facility maintenance policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facility equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and effective repairs and maintenance work
- Manage facility-related projects, such as construction and renovation, and ensure that they are completed on time and within budget
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe and secure facility environment
- Manage facility-related budgets and expenses, and provide regular reports to senior management
- Ensure that all facility staff are properly trained and follow all safety and maintenance procedures
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in facility management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in facility management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and repair
- Experience managing budgets and expenses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
Physical Requirements:
The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods of time, and working in a variety of weather conditions.
