Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized File Clerk to manage and maintain our company's records and documents. The File Clerk will be responsible for organizing, labeling, and filing all paper and digital records, ensuring that they are easily accessible and retrievable by authorized personnel.

 

The successful candidate will be proficient in various document management systems and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision. The candidate should be able to manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have a keen eye for detail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Organize and maintain paper and digital records, including filing, labeling, and indexing documents in an accurate and efficient manner.

• Perform data entry tasks to maintain and update records, ensuring that they are current and accurate.

• Retrieve records upon request by authorized personnel and ensure their timely delivery.

• Manage records retention and destruction policies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with file audits, document reviews, and other records management activities as needed.

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including team members and clients, regarding records and document management issues.

• Maintain a clean and organized file room, ensuring that all records are stored properly and securely.

• Perform other administrative tasks as required.

 

Qualifications:

 

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.

• 1+ years of experience in records management, file clerk, or related administrative role.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Proficient in MS Office and document management systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
