Job Purpose:

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the finance department by completing various administrative tasks. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Manage company expense reports and petty cash

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including processing invoices and payments

• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting processes

• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions

• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities

• Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed

 

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping

• Experience with accounting software is preferred

 

Physical Demands:

This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing, lifting, and moving of boxes is required. This role requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, and the ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

 

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with typical business hours. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
