Job Title: Grocery Clerk

 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our team. As a Grocery Clerk, you will be responsible for stocking shelves, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.

 

Responsibilities:

 

     Receive and unload deliveries of merchandise

     Stock shelves and maintain accurate inventory levels

     Rotate and organize products to ensure freshness and minimize waste

     Assist customers in locating products and provide recommendations as needed

     Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning shelves and displays, and removing empty boxes and trash

     Operate cash registers and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently

     Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and regulations

     Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge

     Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

     High school diploma or equivalent required

     Proven experience as a Grocery Clerk or similar role

     Knowledge of grocery products and categories

     Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

     Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently

     Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively

     Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

     Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
