Job Title: Hair Salon Assistant Manager
Job Summary:
The Hair Salon Assistant Manager is responsible for providing support to the Hair Salon Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the salon. This includes managing the salon staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining inventory, and upholding the salon's standards for cleanliness and organization. The assistant manager must have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to work well under pressure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the salon manager in overseeing daily operations of the salon
• Manage the salon staff, including scheduling, training, and coaching
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
• Ensure the salon meets all health and safety regulations
• Uphold the salon's standards for cleanliness and organization
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning
• Assist the salon manager with marketing and promotions to increase business
• Conduct staff meetings to ensure everyone is informed and up-to-date on policies and procedures
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred
• 2+ years of experience in the beauty industry, preferably in a management role
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of beauty products and trends
• Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and salon management software

• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting up to 25 pounds
• Bending, stooping, and reaching
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
