Job Title: Hotel Front Desk Agent

 

Introduction:

The Hotel Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing guests with exceptional customer service, checking them in and out of the hotel, and assisting with any requests or concerns they may have during their stay.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they arrive and check them into their room

• Process payments for room charges, provide receipts and make change as necessary

• Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions and restaurants

• Address guest concerns and resolve issues to ensure a positive guest experience

• Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts

• Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for guests

• Assist with the preparation and delivery of guest services, such as wake-up calls and transportation arrangements

• Complete all necessary paperwork and reports as required by management

• Perform other duties as assigned by the hotel management team

 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations and complaints in a professional manner

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic computer skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

• Knowledge of reservation and hotel management systems is a plus

• Previous hotel front desk experience is preferred

 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Ability to bend, kneel, and reach as needed to perform essential job functions

 

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and other odors associated with hotel environments

• Work schedule may vary based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
