Job Title: HR Onboarding Specialist

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HR Onboarding Specialist to join our team and support our onboarding process. The HR Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for managing the administrative aspects of the onboarding process, including documentation, compliance, and communication with new hires. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of onboarding best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the administrative aspects of the onboarding process, including collecting and verifying new hire paperwork, completing background checks and drug screenings, and setting up new hire files

- Communicate with new hires to ensure that they have all necessary information and materials prior to their start date, including orientation schedules, job descriptions, and benefits information

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to onboarding, including EEO and affirmative action requirements

- Work closely with HR and hiring managers to coordinate onboarding activities, such as orientation and job-specific training

- Provide support to new hires during the onboarding process, including answering questions and addressing concerns

- Develop and maintain onboarding materials, including checklists and guides, to ensure a consistent and positive onboarding experience

- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to onboarding, such as background check and drug screening services

- Stay up-to-date on best practices in onboarding and recommend changes and improvements to the process as needed

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

- 2-3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on onboarding and compliance

- Excellent knowledge of onboarding best practices, policies, and procedures

- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

- Experience with HRIS systems is preferred

- HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred
