Job Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Insurance Underwriter to join our team. The Insurance Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing insurance applications, determining risk and coverage options, and making recommendations to management. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance products and regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Evaluate and analyze insurance applications

• Determine risk and coverage options for applicants

• Assess and calculate premiums and deductibles

• Review and analyze underwriting guidelines and policies

• Collaborate with agents and brokers to secure new business

• Maintain relationships with clients and brokers

• Develop and maintain relationships with reinsurance companies and other industry stakeholders

• Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and products

• Make recommendations to management on risk management and underwriting policies

• Provide excellent customer service and support to clients and agents

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

• Proven work experience as an Insurance Underwriter or similar role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and processing

• Knowledge of insurance products and regulations

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
