Job Purpose:

The IT Director will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the organization's IT systems and software, ensuring optimal performance and security of the IT infrastructure. The individual will also provide technical support and leadership to the IT team, ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects and initiatives, and adherence to IT policies, procedures and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, development and implementation of the organization's IT systems and software, ensuring optimal performance and security of the IT infrastructure.

• Provide leadership and technical guidance to the IT team, ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects and initiatives.

• Develop, implement and enforce IT policies, procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Evaluate new and emerging technologies and recommend solutions that meet the organization's strategic objectives.

• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with the organization's goals.

• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring effective delivery of services and solutions.

• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs and challenges.

• Provide technical support to end-users, ensuring the timely resolution of IT issues.

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and business continuity plans for IT systems and infrastructure.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of delivering IT projects and initiatives.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• In-depth knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, including network architecture, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

• Experience with IT budget management and vendor management.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative IT solutions.

• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to IT.

 

Physical Requirements:

This job may require sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as some lifting of equipment or supplies.
