Job Purpose:

 

The IT Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the smooth running of all IT systems and services. They will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals and ensuring that all IT projects are completed on time and within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentoring as required.

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all IT hardware and software systems.

• Ensure that all IT systems and services are available and functioning properly, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues or problems that arise.

• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure that all IT activities are conducted in a secure and efficient manner.

• Manage IT budgets and resources, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize IT projects and initiatives that support business objectives.

• Develop and maintain relationships with IT vendors and suppliers, ensuring that all products and services meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend new IT solutions that can improve business performance and efficiency.

• Provide regular reports and updates to the IT Director and other senior executives as required.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations management.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Excellent technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.

• Strong project management skills and experience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 

Working Conditions:

 

The IT Operations Manager will work in an office environment and may be required to work long hours or weekends to meet project deadlines. Travel may be required from time to time to meet with vendors and suppliers. The job may also require participation in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of normal working hours.
