Job Title: Lineman

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lineman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical power systems, including overhead and underground lines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical power systems, including overhead and underground lines, transformers, and other electrical equipment.

• Work from elevated positions, such as utility poles or bucket trucks, to install or repair electrical lines and equipment.

• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment and tools, including power saws, drills, and hydraulic and hand tools.

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical power systems and equipment to identify and repair potential issues.

• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper grounding and isolation of electrical systems.

• Respond to service outages and emergencies and work to restore electrical service as quickly and safely as possible.

• Collaborate with other linemen, electricians, and engineers to develop project plans and strategies.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training in electrical power systems.

• 3+ years of experience as a Lineman.

• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, equipment, and safety procedures.

• Ability to work at elevated heights and in all weather conditions.

• Ability to operate and maintain a variety of equipment and tools.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Willingness to travel and work in remote locations.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at elevated heights and in all weather conditions.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment.
