Job Title: Mail Carrier

 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a responsible and reliable Mail Carrier to join our team and ensure that mail is delivered to the correct recipients in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, be able to work independently and possess a valid driver's license.

 

Responsibilities:

 

     Sort and organize mail for delivery

     Load and unload mail from vehicles

     Drive to assigned locations to deliver mail to recipients

     Obtain signatures for registered or certified mail, and collect payments for postage-due and COD items

     Answer customers' questions about postal regulations, services, and products

     Record and maintain accurate delivery and pickup records

     Return undeliverable mail to the post office

     Complete any necessary paperwork, such as daily delivery reports

     Follow all safety protocols and procedures, and maintain a safe driving record

     Communicate with supervisors or other team members to report any delivery issues or concerns

 

Qualifications:

 

     High school diploma or equivalent required

     Valid driver's license required

     Previous experience in mail delivery or related field preferred

     Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

     Excellent organizational and communication skills

     Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

     Ability to work in various weather conditions

     Familiarity with postal regulations and procedures

     Good driving record with no traffic violations

     Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
