Job Title: Mail Handler

 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mail Handler to join our team and help ensure the smooth processing of mail. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, be able to work independently and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

     Sort and distribute incoming mail

     Prepare outgoing mail for delivery

     Operate mail processing equipment, such as letter-sorting machines

     Identify and label mail for forwarding or redirection

     Monitor mail flow and adjust work processes to ensure timely delivery

     Maintain accurate records of mail processing activities

     Identify and report any damaged or suspicious mail

     Maintain a clean and organized work area

     Follow all safety protocols and procedures

 

Qualifications:

 

     High school diploma or equivalent required

     Previous experience in mail handling or related field preferred

     Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

     Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

     Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

     Ability to operate mail processing equipment and other office equipment, such as computers and scanners

     Familiarity with postal regulations and procedures

     Good communication skills, both verbal and written

     Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
