Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Managing Director to lead our organization. As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. You will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that the organization is meeting its goals and objectives, while also maintaining financial stability and adhering to regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the organization, in collaboration with the Board of Directors
• Provide leadership and direction to the senior management team, ensuring that all staff members are aligned with the organization's mission and goals
• Oversee the development and implementation of programs and services that support the organization's mission and objectives
• Ensure that the organization's financial management practices are in compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Work with the Board of Directors to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and other organizations
• Represent the organization in external forums, including speaking engagements and media appearances
• Develop and maintain a positive organizational culture that supports the organization's mission and values
• Monitor and report on the organization's progress towards achieving its strategic goals and objectives
• Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure the organization's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
• Manage the organization's budget and financial resources, ensuring that all expenditures are within budget and that financial targets are met or exceeded
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• At least 10 years of senior management experience, preferably in a non-profit or social enterprise setting
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans
• Strong financial management skills, including budget development and monitoring
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with Boards of Directors or other governing bodies
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for non-profit organizations
• Strong commitment to the organization's mission and values
• Ability to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with others
• Willingness to travel as required
