Job Title: Materials Manager


Job Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee our organization's materials management processes. As a Materials Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of all materials required to support production, manufacturing, and customer service.


Key Responsibilities:


• Manage and lead the materials planning and control team.


• Develop and implement inventory management strategies that optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.


• Work closely with procurement to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components required for production.


• Monitor and analyze inventory levels, demand trends, and order patterns to identify potential supply chain risks and opportunities.


• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials.


• Develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure accurate inventory tracking, timely receipt and release of goods, and proper inventory control.


• Work with the production and manufacturing teams to ensure that materials are available to meet production schedules.


• Develop and manage the departmental budget.




• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.


• 5+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, and/or supply chain management.


• Experience with materials planning and control systems.


• Strong leadership and management skills.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.


• APICS certification preferred.
