Job Description:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Technician to join our team. The Medical Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist or physician. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of laboratory procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Collect, prepare and analyze patient specimens for laboratory testing.

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.

• Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy of test results.

• Maintain accurate records of patient test results and medical history.

• Communicate test results to physicians and other healthcare professionals.

• Follow all safety procedures and protocols in the laboratory.

• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay up-to-date with advances in laboratory science.

 

Requirements:

 

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.

• Current certification as a Medical Technician.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in computer skills and laboratory information systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.

• Previous experience working in a medical laboratory setting.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.

• Experience with laboratory information systems and electronic medical records.

 

Physical Demands:

 

The Medical Technician may be required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, and may occasionally need to lift or move heavy objects.
