Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a skilled medical transcriptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transcribing medical reports dictated by healthcare professionals, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all records.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Transcribe medical reports, including discharge summaries, progress notes, operative reports, consultation notes, and diagnostic test results, using transcription equipment or computer software.

 

• Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.

 

• Follow-up on physician signatures, missing or incomplete information, and any other documentation discrepancies.

 

• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of medical reports.

 

• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify report details and discrepancies.

 

• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.

 

• Work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

 

Qualifications:

 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

• Certification in medical transcription preferred.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
