Job Purpose:

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary care services to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices. They work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and promote disease prevention and health education.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations on patients and obtain detailed medical histories

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies

• Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses

• Prescribe medications, treatments, and other interventions as appropriate

• Provide patient education and counseling on topics such as disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and medication management

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to professional practice standards and guidelines



• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner

• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
