Job Title: Pantry Cook

 

Introduction:

 

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Pantry Cook to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in preparing cold dishes, salads, and desserts. The Pantry Cook will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes that are visually appealing and appetizing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Prepare cold dishes, salads, and desserts according to recipes and standards

- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in an appetizing and visually appealing way

- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Maintain the pantry area and equipment in a clean and organized manner

- Stock pantry stations with ingredients and supplies as needed

- Assist with inventory and ordering of pantry supplies

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of food

- Assist with preparation of hot dishes as needed

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef

 

Requirements:

 

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pantry Cook or similar position

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

- Attention to detail and ability to present dishes in an appetizing and visually appealing way

- Good communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

 

Physical Requirements:

 

- Ability to stand for long periods of time

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment
