Job Summary:


We are seeking a friendly and organized Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team. The Patient Service Representative will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive the best possible service during their visits to our facility. They will assist patients with scheduling appointments, completing registration forms, and checking in and out of the clinic.


The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.




- Greet patients as they arrive at the clinic and provide them with assistance as needed.

- Schedule patient appointments and provide them with information about what to expect during their visit.

- Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information, and accurately enter it into the electronic health record system.

- Collect patient co-payments, deductibles, and other outstanding balances and process them according to established procedures.

- Answer patient inquiries in person or on the phone, and direct them to the appropriate staff member when necessary.

- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure that all HIPAA regulations are followed.

- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.

- Assist with various administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and faxing as needed.

- Attend staff meetings and training sessions to keep up-to-date on changes in policies and procedures.




- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a patient service representative or in a related role.

- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other medical software preferred.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
