Title: Payroll Analyst

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our payroll team. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and preparing payroll reports. This individual should be highly organized, analytical, and have excellent attention to detail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, time and attendance records, and wage and tax data.

- Resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies, working with employees and other stakeholders as needed.

- Prepare and analyze payroll reports and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and laws.

- Stay up-to-date with payroll regulations and trends and make recommendations for process improvements.

- Other payroll-related tasks as assigned.

 

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in payroll operations.

- Thorough knowledge of payroll regulations, laws, and best practices.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees and other stakeholders.

- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using Excel for data analysis.

- Familiarity with payroll software and other HR technology.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.

- Experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment.

- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance.
