Job Title: Payroll Manager

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll operations for our organization. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing a team of payroll professionals, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll best practices, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including regular and overtime hours, bonuses, and deductions

- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll, including tax and benefit requirements

- Work closely with HR and accounting teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of payroll data and reporting

- Develop and maintain payroll metrics to track and report on payroll activity and performance

- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders

- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits

- Coordinate with external partners, such as payroll providers and tax authorities, as necessary

- Support payroll-related audits and inquiries from internal and external stakeholders

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in payroll, with at least 2 years in a management role

- Strong understanding of payroll best practices and applicable laws and regulations

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions

- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency in payroll and HRIS software, as well as MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred
