Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with filling prescriptions, preparing medications, and providing excellent customer service to patients. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions by counting pills, labelling bottles, and verifying patient information.

- Prepare medications, such as ointments and creams, under the supervision of a pharmacist.

- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking for expired medications, and ordering supplies.

- Process insurance claims and answer patients' questions about medications and insurance coverage.

- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medications.

- Follow safety and sanitation procedures when handling medications.

- Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients, answering phones, and addressing patients' concerns.

- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.

- Complete any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements:

 

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.

- Proven work experience as a Pharmacy Technician or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medications, and drug interactions.

- Familiarity with pharmacy laws and regulations.

- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in using computers and other relevant software applications.
