Job Title: Plant Manager
Introduction:
The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The successful candidate will have experience in the manufacturing industry and be able to manage resources, people, and equipment to deliver results according to defined metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production schedules are met
• Manage resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet production targets and quality standards
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Develop and manage budgets, including identifying areas for cost reduction and increasing profitability
• Provide leadership and direction to the plant team, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve issues
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize uptime and minimize downtime
• Prepare and present reports on plant performance to senior management
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management or related field
• Demonstrated success in meeting production targets and improving plant efficiency
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
• Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes
• Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience in managing budgets and cost reduction strategies
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Demands:
This position requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is also required. Protective equipment, such as safety glasses and hard hats, may be required in certain areas of the plant.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily based in a manufacturing plant environment. The plant may be noisy, dusty, and have exposure to hazardous materials. Appropriate personal protective equipment is provided, and safety procedures must be followed at all times.
