Position Title: Procurement Manager

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee our organization's procurement activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and a proven ability to work well in a team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives

• Identify potential suppliers, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts to ensure the best possible terms and conditions for the organization

• Manage supplier relationships, including resolving issues and disputes, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with contracts

• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

• Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

• Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal teams

• Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including suppliers and industry peers

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in procurement activities

• Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, ensuring high levels of performance and motivation

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of procurement professionals

• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to procurement

• Experience in the use of procurement software and systems

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field

• Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)

• Experience working in a global or multi-national organization

• Experience in the use of e-procurement systems and tools
