Job Summary:

 

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Public Relations Assistant to support our Public Relations (PR) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of public relations strategies that promote and enhance our organization's image and reputation.

 

The Public Relations Assistant will work closely with the PR team to identify media opportunities, draft press releases and other written materials, coordinate events and activities, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media outlets, community groups, and other partners.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Assist with the development and implementation of public relations strategies to promote and enhance our organization's image and reputation

• Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other written materials

• Assist with the coordination of media events and activities, including press conferences, interviews, and other media opportunities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media outlets, community groups, and other partners

• Monitor media coverage and track PR metrics to assess the effectiveness of PR campaigns

• Conduct research and analyze data to inform PR strategies and messaging

• Assist with the management of social media channels and other digital communications platforms

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Public Relations Manager

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

• 1-2 years of experience in Public Relations or a related field

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational and project management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of media relations and experience working with journalists and media outlets

• Experience with social media and other digital communications platforms

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
