Job Title: Purchasing Assistant


Job Type: Full-time/Part-time


Job Summary:

We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team and assist with the procurement of materials and supplies for our company. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for processing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that all materials are received in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.



- Process purchase orders and ensure that all necessary approvals are obtained

- Coordinate with vendors to ensure that materials are delivered on time and at the best possible price

- Review and analyze purchase requisitions to ensure that all necessary information is provided

- Track and monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary

- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities

- Monitor and report on vendor performance and make recommendations for improvement

- Assist with the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that procurement needs are met

- Resolve issues and discrepancies with vendors and suppliers

- Perform other duties as assigned



- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Familiarity with procurement software and systems

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures


Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and move boxes (up to 25 pounds).

The salary range for this position is $XX,XXX - $XX,XXX per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
