Job Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced and professional Restaurant HR Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of human resources for our restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the restaurant's goals and objectives. The Restaurant HR Manager will manage the recruitment and selection process, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, and compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Develop and implement human resources strategies and initiatives that align with the restaurant's goals and objectives.

 

• Manage the recruitment and selection process, including creating job descriptions, posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.

 

• Develop and implement onboarding programs for new employees.

 

• Manage employee relations, including conducting investigations, providing counseling and coaching to employees, and ensuring compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations.

 

• Develop and implement training and development programs for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.

 

• Administer compensation and benefits programs, including conducting job evaluations, developing salary scales, and managing the employee benefits program.

 

• Manage the performance management process, including conducting performance reviews, developing performance improvement plans, and providing coaching and feedback to employees.

 

• Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and OSHA.

 

• Manage HR data and maintain accurate records on employee files.

 

• Collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager and other department heads to identify and address HR-related issues.

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.

 

• 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in the restaurant industry.

 

• Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.

 

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.

 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

 

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
