Job Purpose:

The Retail HR Manager is responsible for managing the human resources activities of the retail division of the organization. The role will involve developing and implementing HR strategies to attract, retain and develop the best talent, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and delivering HR services to support business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the retail division’s goals and objectives

• Manage the recruitment, selection and onboarding of new employees

• Implement performance management processes to ensure employees are meeting job expectations and goals

• Develop and implement employee engagement and retention programs

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations

• Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures

• Manage the payroll process for retail division employees

• Develop and implement training and development programs for employees

• Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that align with the retail division’s goals and objectives

• Manage employee relations issues and resolve conflicts

• Prepare and analyze HR metrics to monitor and improve the effectiveness of HR programs

• Manage the HR budget for the retail division



• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a management role

• Experience in the retail industry is preferred

• Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications


Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds


Working Conditions:

• The job may require occasional evening and weekend work
