Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our team. As a Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure and systems. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

     Design, implement, and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices, and other IT assets.

     Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our systems.

     Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, availability, and security issues, and implement solutions to mitigate these issues.

     Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and perform regular backups and recovery tests to ensure system availability in case of disasters.

     Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

     Develop and maintain system monitoring and alerting systems, and respond to system alerts and incidents in a timely manner.

     Stay up-to-date with the latest IT technologies, best practices, and trends, and make recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.

     Mentor and train junior system administrators and IT staff.

 

Requirements:

 

     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

     At least 7 years of experience in system administration, with a track record of managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructures.

     Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices, and other IT assets.

     Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V, and cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.

     Strong understanding of security best practices and regulations, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or GDPR.

     Experience with system monitoring and alerting systems, such as Nagios or Zabbix, and incident response and management tools, such as PagerDuty or ServiceNow.

     Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

     Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals.

     Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

     Industry certifications, such as MCSE or CCNA, are preferred but not required.
