Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our team. As a Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure and systems. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design, implement, and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices, and other IT assets.
● Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our systems.
● Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, availability, and security issues, and implement solutions to mitigate these issues.
● Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and perform regular backups and recovery tests to ensure system availability in case of disasters.
● Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
● Develop and maintain system monitoring and alerting systems, and respond to system alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest IT technologies, best practices, and trends, and make recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.
● Mentor and train junior system administrators and IT staff.
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
● At least 7 years of experience in system administration, with a track record of managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructures.
● Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices, and other IT assets.
● Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V, and cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
● Strong understanding of security best practices and regulations, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or GDPR.
● Experience with system monitoring and alerting systems, such as Nagios or Zabbix, and incident response and management tools, such as PagerDuty or ServiceNow.
● Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals.
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
● Industry certifications, such as MCSE or CCNA, are preferred but not required.
