Job Summary:

 

We are looking for a Software Security Engineer to join our team and ensure the security and integrity of our software products. As a Software Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security measures to protect our software from potential security threats and vulnerabilities. You will work closely with software developers and IT teams to identify and address security issues throughout the software development lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

     Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing of our software products to identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

     Design and implement security measures and protocols to protect our software from potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

     Work closely with software developers and IT teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle.

     Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements.

     Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality, functionality, and usability of our software products.

     Participate in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

     Conduct security awareness training for software developers and IT teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the software development process.

     Monitor and analyze security events and incidents, and provide timely and effective response and resolution.

     Ensure the security and integrity of our software products throughout their lifecycle.

 

Requirements:

 

     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

     At least 5 years of experience in software security engineering, with a track record of designing and implementing security measures for complex software applications and systems.

     Strong understanding of software security principles, methodologies, and best practices, such as OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25, and CIS Critical Security Controls.

     Experience with software security tools and technologies, such as static and dynamic code analysis, web application firewalls, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.

     Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.

     Experience with software development frameworks and tools, such as Spring, Hibernate, React, or Angular.

     Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

     Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals.

     Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

     Industry certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), are preferred but not required.
