Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Stage Manager to join our team. The Stage Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of rehearsals and performances, including scheduling, organizing props and set changes, and communicating with cast and crew members. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Create and maintain a production schedule for rehearsals and performances.

- Attend all rehearsals and performances and oversee all technical aspects of the show.

- Communicate with cast and crew members regarding schedule changes and updates.

- Manage backstage activities, including set and prop changes, cueing sound and lighting cues, and managing stage crew members.

- Ensure that all props, sets, and costumes are in their proper place before each performance.

- Work with the director and other production staff to ensure that the show runs smoothly and according to plan.

- Conduct run-throughs and technical rehearsals to ensure that all aspects of the show are in place.

- Train and manage stage crew members, ensuring that they are performing their duties correctly and efficiently.

- Perform any other duties as assigned by the director or producer.

 

Requirements:

 

- Bachelor's degree in Theatre or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Proven work experience as a Stage Manager or a similar role.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

- Familiarity with technical theatre and stage production processes.

- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

- Physical ability to lift and move heavy props and equipment.
