Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a System Security Engineer to join our team and help us ensure the security and reliability of our systems. The System Security Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing security measures to protect our systems from unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security regulations and standards, and conducting regular security audits and risk assessments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

     Design and implement security measures to protect our systems from unauthorized access, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.

     Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, PCI, and ISO 27001.

     Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.

     Monitor system logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.

     Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that security measures are integrated with other applications and platforms.

     Provide training and support to end users to ensure that they understand and comply with security policies and procedures.

     Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements.

 

Requirements:

 

     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

     At least 5 years of experience in system security engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of security protocols, encryption technologies, and risk assessment methodologies.

     Experience with security regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, PCI, and ISO 27001.

     Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

     Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals.

     Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

     Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

     Industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are a plus.
