VP Talent Management Job Description

 

Job Title: Vice President of Talent Management

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Talent Management to lead our organization's talent strategy and development efforts. The VP of Talent Management will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive talent management program that supports the organization's goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in talent management, as well as excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent management program that includes talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies

- Partner with business leaders to understand their talent needs and develop customized talent solutions

- Lead and manage a team of talent management professionals, providing guidance and coaching as needed

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to talent management, including EEO and affirmative action requirements

- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as recruitment agencies, universities, and industry associations

- Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs

- Develop and implement talent development programs and initiatives, including training, coaching, and mentoring programs

- Develop and maintain metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent management efforts

- Participate in organizational design and workforce planning initiatives

- Lead the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred

- 10+ years of experience in talent management, with a focus on talent acquisition and development

- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing talent management strategies

- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of professionals

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions

- Knowledge of talent management best practices, policies, and procedures

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

- Experience with applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools is preferred
