Job Title: Waiter/Waitress

The successful candidate will be able to anticipate and meet customer needs, take orders and serve food and drinks in a timely manner, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome customers as they arrive at the restaurant and guide them to their tables

- Present menus and answer questions about menu items, specials, and promotions

- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff

- Serve food and drinks in a timely and efficient manner

- Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure they are satisfied with their food and drinks

- Prepare and process customer bills and payments accurately

- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including resetting tables and ensuring condiments and other supplies are stocked

- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for customers

- Follow all health and safety guidelines and adhere to food service regulations

 

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar role

- Excellent customer service skills and ability to anticipate customer needs

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Basic math and computer skills

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and procedures

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in food service is a plus

 

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead
